The laboratory hours are Mon-Friday 8:30M-12:00Noon and 1:00PM-5:30PM. We are staffed by 1.6 Medical Laboratory Technologists.
Routine testing is done on site and other work is referred to the General Hospital, Provincial lab as well as the Pasqua Hospital cytology department. Lab samples are sent out the day following collection with routine results returning, in paper form, within 4-5 days.
It is advisable to phone the lab before brining a request from an outside physician. Special tubes or a specific time frame may be a factor that prevent our lab from accommodating the doctors specific request.
